Who I am..
I’m India - a mother and midwife based in Cirencester. I have been a midwife for 9 years and currently work in a local maternity unit, supporting women during labour and birth. For the last two years, I have also been facilitating antenatal classes.
My approach is calm, honest and evidence-based. I aim to give you clear, balanced information so you can make the choices that feel right for you and your baby. I truly believe that women already have what it takes to give birth — and that with the right preparation and support, you can approach your birth feeling calm, confident and reassured. My hope is that you enter motherhood feeling strong and capable, and that your birth experience — whatever path it takes — feels positive and empowering.
My classes are relaxed, friendly and non-judgemental. They’re a space where you can ask questions, feel supported, and connect with other local parents. For me, that sense of community is so important — I still meet up weekly with the friends I made through my own antenatal group when I had my baby, and I don’t know what I would have done without them.
Birthkind is a welcoming space for all parents, and I really hope it can make a difference to your journey.
With love,
India
